Today...AK all-in pf twice vs KK & AA. Variance: I beat KK. AA guy deep limped AA and 4bet, it's good play since it looks FOS.

Again got owned by a 40/15 guy. Missed every flop, got c/r every cbet. JJ lost to LAGs flopped bottom pair. Flop was 8s7c4s, LAG calls in position. Turn 3c, I bet, LAG raises. Looks FOS since the 3 is a blank (lol, orly?) and puts out another FD. I go with it. 43s FTW. I want to give him credit and say he was just floating but he's the guy who got all-in PF w/ QQ against me (and won v. KK, LDO). All big hands today, won nothing.

Lost to 1.5 buyins to gutshots + OESDs yesterday. Gutshot was SS all-in on turn, hit river like clockwork. OESD was against set on FD flop, he donked, donk called, I mashed pot for 44BB...OESD calls (lol?), donk folds. Turn is non-flush King and he pushes. I should probably just fold by now.

Think I won some coinflips on the CR cash league tables. JJ > AQ, etc. Funny thing is, play at those tables is pathetic anyway (from what I saw): SSs, minbetting/minraising. Blind pf all-ins. MMm, IIRC, I beat KK all-in pf with AK at this table. Which sucks, because they're nanostakes.

LAGG

So I tried playing LAG...which means loosing money much faster since I don't even have to have a hand to pay people off! Turn push with NFD...he has to have a monster to call here...*flips middle set*...BASTARD.

Obviously. Feel like I should be playing 22+, Axs, & 65s+. That's what...78+48+32+28...13% VPIP. Throw in AKo and it's 15% VPIP.

Whatever, I think...and I'm pretty serious about this, that I'll do PLO flippament for what remains on FTP. If I win I'll try and forgo the temptation to flip until robusto. If I lose, I may just get drunk and hang myself. Thing is...if it painless, I'd have done it already. Shotgun to the brain would be ideal. Maybe I should move back to America just to get a gun? Or, I could use monies to holiday somewhere with a tall structure and on the last day jump off of it. There's an aquaduct around here but getting there is a hassle.

Meh. Hanging is easier. Maybe I'll get lucky (lol, yeah) and break my neck instead of asphyxiating. Anyway, a few minutes of agony is far better than any of the years I've lived past...probably '96.

In between loads of light 3betting & bluffing, he keeps looking at PT to check his day. He also brings up 2+2 & some torrent website. He's so cool. Barf.

Whatever, he is e-cool and runs over the tables, I am not e-cool and get run over.

Meh, I'll also watch the 100NL one.

Although the commentary was essentially useless, watching the actual play was semi-interesting. Shows me spots where I can be 3betting and opening a lot lighter. Incredibly, he was even getting respect for his cbets, etc. So 'lol'.

Long&

So I played what is for me a long session today. After not bothering to play Fri & Sat. Boy do I get rewarded! AKs, lagtagfish sits down and all his hands have been 3bet pots against me: He opens UTG, I 3bet KK, he folds. I open AQo in the SB, he 3bets, I fold. I open AKs in the CO, he 3bets, BB cold-calls (HELLO JJ+). K6s7s, check, check, he pots, BB goes out, I push and he obviously has 67s. I mean if you're going to make obvious light 3bets it's only fair that FTP gives you two pair v. TPTK. Every. Time.

Every 3bet pot is the same: Outflopped over, and over, and over. When I 4bet AK pf, it's KK+ time. In todays expert outflop, I should have 4bet anyway, despite BBs scariness.

Oh, and for little pots: Everytime a lagtagfish calls OOP, they flop trips v. overpair. Or, if I check with my TPMK to induce some bluffs...they turn trips/two pair. So pathetic.

Back from break. KK < AA all-in pf. KK < TP+BDFD. Poker is fun because...1. get good hand 2. play it so-so 3. ??? 4. LOSE.

Seriously, why bother? First hand at table get dealt KK. Ugh. Loads of limpers, including SB. I raise (why?) 3 calls. Flop is Q33r which is pretty good. I bet...2/3. 2 folds and SB calls. Turn is 4 putting two hearts out there. His range for calling the flop is a Queen or a 3 so I check intending to call/valuebet river. River 7 giving 3 hearts, he bets...I think about folding. I don't see why a Queen would bet...he can't have a worse two pair. Whatever, fulltilt has made it my job to pay off their eminently optimistic calls: QThh, backdoor flush FTW.

KK, 3bet 20/6/2 guy...he 4bets...sigh...fulltilt has made it my job to pay off when they have AA, I push, AA holds despite QJxxx board. Cooler? No, because they must be folding KK to a single 3bet whenever I get it.

I give up. Where's my drugs so I can hang myself? Oh right, can't get those either.

So...I'm on a break from poker. Spent evening chilling out and writing a dumb sql query...that's actually turned out to be a lot harder than I realised. Partially because I had a huge amount of glare on my laptop. White wall by my deck + windows...then my laptop battery died at 40%. Processing the results with perl would have been oh so much easier/quicker. Basically so far I have a sub-query with a load of JOINs and bunch of RE pattern matching against the raw HH going on. For some reason the RE weren't working as expected...but I plonked in the (?n) newline-sensitive tag and it...did. Also, went_to_showdown_n doesn't mean what you think it means...(AKA, PT's HH parsing isn't perfect).

So, yeah, I should end up with a super-duper query that shows how sets are doing (UH, BADLY). I may graph them for bonus points. This is pretty much mental masturbation but it's not without utility & I can extend it...to see how often I get overflushed! Partially kidding. But there seems to be a lot of cool things I could do here. The most obvious one is 3betting. Although...since I am no longer storing observed HHs, that's of limited utility (which is fine, because before storing the HHs provided zero benefit).

I've gotten a few weird emails thanking me for my webcomics. Great...So I googled.

Found someone who's willing to coach smartNIT for $40 an hour. I may do that instead of 3bet. I mean, I like Josh, but...results, results, results. 3bet coaching has done nothing for me results wise. So even if this cheaper coaching is a complete waste of time, it doesn't actually matter.
